For food emergency support, visit Shropshire Larder

Recently, at one of the Food Hub’s regular foodshare tables, we set up a whiteboard and provided post-it notes and pens, inviting attendees to share their thoughts.

We were pleasantly surprised to see that many people wrote about fun and friendship. It reminded us that while we often think it’s all about the food, for many, it’s really about socializing, community, and friendship!

So what are our foodshares all about?

We collect surplus food from supermarkets and other food businesses, which is still good to eat but would otherwise go to waste. It is shared with local charities and partner groups and community Foodshare tables.

There are 15 Foodshares every week in locations across the town. We never know what food we’re going to get, but everyone is welcome to a share. Bring your own bag and put £1 in the donation pot. Funds raised help to keep our wheels turning.

Here is the timetable so you can find an event convenient for you!
