Join Shrewsbury Food Hub’s Annual Walk Against Waste on Sunday 21 April – a wonderful 6k walk that follows the loop of the River Severn taking in 6 iconic bridges.
Every step you take will raise awareness of World Earth Day and how reducing food waste can have a positive impact on the environment. You will also be raising funds to help the Hub rescue more surplus food for planet and community!
The walk is a relaxed and scenic challenge that everyone can get involved in. Do it alone, in a group, with your dog, or link up with other walkers on the day. The route, which will take about 1.5 hours to walk, is buggy and wheelchair friendly.
Michael Carding, Shrewsbury Food Hub volunteer and fundraiser, said: “This is a fantastic day out for all ages. We had a great turnout last year and raised funds to help keep our wheels turning. Walk with us to show your support for Shrewsbury Food Hub and its work to stop food waste.”
